About the Exhibition
Nearness invites viewers to contemplate recurring cycles that arise from encounters with nature, crafted objects, and the material conditions of everyday life. Informed by process and craft, the artworks draw on design while exploring how memory, sensation, and shifting perspectives intersect with what is observed in the external world. Created by senior painting students these works consider how proximity to experience, environment, and material can be transformed into form, surface, and spatial arrangement.
