Getting Here

Saskatoon Transit: There is a Transit terminal in front of Place Riel and many routes travel to the University of Saskatchewan. To determine which route works best for you, please use Google Transit to plan your trip. Curb cuts on corners within the Transit terminal. 

Parking: Paid parking is also available across campus, with a few designated parking spots for accessibility. Curb cuts on some corners. 

Gordon Snelgrove Gallery

Foyer


This is the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery Foyer. The main gallery and office is through the grey doors on your right. Straight ahead, the interior glass doors lead to the School for the Arts' drawing studio, as well as upstairs to the washrooms, painting studio, and lecture theatre. The exterior glass doors on your left lead to a set of stairs that can take you down to the Bowl (left) and Place Riel Student Centre (right). Behind you is another set of exterior doors, leading you to another set of stairs that can take you down to the Bowl. 

Entrance


This is the main entrance to the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery. The grey doors lead to the gallery space, and open to create a width of 30 inches. Please ring the doorbell on the occasion that the doors are locked or for assistance opening the door. Gallery exhibitions are always free to attend and open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

Gallery

This is the gallery space. We are both a teaching facility and a public gallery; providing a venue for new work, public talks, residencies and short-term studio space for artists, curators and collectives within the department, across campus and the broader arts community. The gallery office is located in the back left of the gallery space. Access to the School for the Arts' Art History offices is through a white door on the right side of the gallery, which is also an accessible passage that leads to the Murray Library's North Wing. We are open Mondays to Fridays 10am to 4pm.

Office

This is the gallery office. There is a kitchen setup on your right, including a sink, kettle, a microwave, various dishes, and a fridge/freezer. Throughout the office there is an assortment of tools available for use by exhibitors. 

Back Entrance

Access via Murray Library North Wing. Proceed straight ahead, and turn left at corner.   The door straight ahead leads to the gallery.
This is the back entrance to the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery, which is completely accessible by elevator to the first floor of the Murray Library's North Wing. The door leads to the gallery via the hallway for the School for the Arts' Art History offices. The door opens to create a width of 41 inches. Those interested in visiting the gallery are encouraged to ring the doorbell, signaling a gallery staff member to open the door for you. Before planning your visit, please make note of our gallery hours, as staff is only available while the gallery is open. 

There is now a doorbell at the front entrance of the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery, as well as the back door, which is accessible via the Murray Library's North Wing. Kenderdine Art Galery

Entrance

This is the main entrance to the Agriculture Building via the Bowl. Both sets of doors have a button for a hands-free entrance. Upon entering the building, there are stairs and a set of elevators straight ahead on your left that lead up to the second floor. The entrance to the Kenderdine Art Gallery opens to create a width of 75 inches. 

Hallway (Second Floor)

This is the hallway leading to the Kenderdine Art Gallery, which is behind the glass doors straight ahead. There are 2 fully accessible elevators on your right, just before the hallway ends, and they can take you up and down the Agriculture building. Turning left, the hallway continues on, taking you to the Physics Building. Behind you, the hallway continues to the Engineering Building, along the way are washrooms, a cafeteria, and a set of stairs leading down to the main floor. Gallery exhibitions are always free to attend and open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

Gallery

This is the gallery space. It is located on the second floor of the Agriculture Building, and is fully accessible by elevator. This gallery provides opportunities for curatorial engagement with the University of Saskatchewan Art Collection, and exhibits artworks of regional, national and international significance. We are open Mondays to Fridays 10am to 4pm.

College Art Galery

Entrance

This is the main entrance to the Peter Mackinnon Building via the Bowl. There is a ramp, and stairs leading up to the entrance. Both sets of these wooden doors have a button for a hands-free entrance, and upon entering the building, the College Art Gallery 1 is at the end of the hall on your left. 

Foyer (Ground Floor)

This is the Foyer leading to College Art Gallery 2. Staff offices are behind the last wooden door on your left. The gallery is behind the glass doors straight ahead. And there is a fully accessible elevator on the right, just before the gallery entrance. Further back, washrooms are on your left, and on your right is the entrance to the Peter Mackinnon Building via the Admin Building, where there is an external ramp to parking. Gallery exhibitions are always free to attend and open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

College Art Gallery 2 (Ground Floor)

This is the gallery located on the ground floor of the Peter Mackinnon Building. The gallery presents various exhibitions, with a special emphasis on contemporary Canadian practices. We are open Mondays to Fridays 10am to 4pm.

Hallway (First Floor)

This is the hallway leading to College Art Gallery 1. There is a fully accessible elevator on your right, just before the hallway ends, and it can take you back down to College Art Gallery 2. At the end of the hallway, turn right and the gallery is behind the glass door straight ahead; turning left leads you to USask's Museum of Antiquities. Gallery exhibitions are always free to attend and open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.
