About the Exhibitions

BLEND: Advanced and Intermediate Printmaking Exhibition

BLEND features the printmaking artwork by Advanced and Intermediate Printmaking students in Art & Art History in the School for the Arts. This group exhibition features a broad range of thematic and aesthetic interests in diverse print media.

ECHO: International Printmaking Exchange Exhibition

This is a collaborative project between 15 printmaking students from Art & Art History in the School of the Arts of the University of Saskatchewan and 15 printmaking students from the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, Poland. The project's facilitators are Associate Professor John Graham (Canada) and Assistant Professor Agnieszka C. Maćkowiak (Poland).

This international print exchange is based on the theme of “echo.” Each print exchanged in this collaborative project can be understood as an echo of a printmaking matrix. The theme also reflects the exchange itself, as each work becomes an artistic voice responding to and resonating across geographic distance. The word “echo” is shared phonetically in both Polish and English, making it a universal and unifying concept for the participating groups. The project will culminate in two reciprocal exhibitions featuring sets of 15 postcard-size prints, produced in all print media by each group, presented at gallery venues in Canada and Poland in 2026.
