About the Exhibition
Love Songs is a presentation of moving image (video art, sound, animation and installation) projects made by students in the Digital & Integrated Practice (DIP) area in the School for the Arts.
Hot on the heels of MTV, MuchMusic, YouTube, and TikTok, the Video Art & Sound II/III class is responding to Love Songs to End Colonization, a Karaoke-inspired project by Peter Morin and Jimmie Kilpatrick currently on view at the Kenderdine Art Gallery, by orchestrating their own reimagining of the world through the lens of music videos.
Another reel will present selected works from this school year's Video Art & Sound, and Animation & Digital Space classes in a Smörgåsbord of stopmotion, motion graphics, found footage, and self-portrait video making.
