A city-wide exhibition featuring artworks by Saskatoon highschool seniors. Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm, and Saturday, May 4 from 12 - 5pm. Opening Reception: Friday, May 3 at 6 - 8pm.
About the Exhibition
This second annual Senior Art Show highlights the outstanding work produced by grade twelve art students across the City of Saskatoon.
Thank you to Jessica Morgun for her dedication and organization of this event across the Saskatoon community. Also, thanks for the continous support from Art Placement regarding our outreach programming! Art Placement will be funding 3 juried art prizes to be announced at the exhibition reception. This year, various local arts organizations, including AKA Artist-run, Blackflash, PAVED Arts, SK Printmakers, The Saskatchewan Craft Council, and Tree Pottery, will be offering additional awards!

Award for Outstanding Expression of a Prairie Perspective. Sponsored by Blackflash Magazine.
Award for Outstanding Work in the "PAVED" Arts (Photography, Audio, Video, Electronic, Digital). Sponsored by PAVED Arts.
Award of Outstanding Accomplishment in Printmaking. Sponsored by SK Printmakers.

Established in 1978, The Gallery / art placement inc. is a commercial art gallery in downtown Saskatoon on Treaty Six Land. It presents a year-round schedule of solo and group exhibitions, showcasing contemporary, modern, and historical works by notable artists from the province and region. The gallery is a long-time member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada (ADAC) and the Saskatchewan Professional Art Galleries Association (SaskGalleries).

BlackFlash Magazine is a platform for contemporary visual art. BlackFlash is dedicated to presenting critical opinions, urgent issues, and innovative ideas about divergent artistic practices from across Canada, the United States and beyond. Each issue includes feature articles, profiles, interviews, and artist projects from a dynamic selection of artists, writers, and curators. BlackFlash fosters a rich public engagement with image-based practices, such as photography, video, and painting as well as sound, performance and social practice by promoting energetic debate and showcasing diverse voices and communities (local, regional, national and international).
Award for Outstanding Expression of a Prairie Perspective. $100 cash prize, 1-year subscription to BlackFlash magazine, and a framed certificate.
PAVED Arts is a non-profit, artist-run centre and gallery that exists to advance knowledge and practices in what we call the ‘PAVED Arts’ arts: photography, audio, video, electronic and digital. We help artists and independent producers make and exhibit their work.
Award for Outstanding Work in the "PAVED" Arts (Photography, Audio, Video, Electronic, Digital). 1-year membership to PAVED Arts, $100 production centre credit, PavedMeant back catalogue, and a PAVED tote.
Saskatchewan Printmakers is a new volunteer-run not-for-profit that exists province-wide to provide print artists at any stage in their career exhibition and networking opportunities. This member-based organization aims to connect artists working in print media across the province and country.
SK Printmakers Award of Outstanding Accomplishment in Printmaking. $100 cash prize, and a 1-year membership in SK Printmakers.
The Saskatchewan Craft Council is a non-profit organization that represents and supports over 300 craft artisans in Saskatchewan through community, programming, and promotion. Located in Saskatoon, SK in the heart of the Broadway arts district, the SCC is a gallery space that shows six exhibitions a year. Its distinctive gallery gift shop and online store offers the handmade work of over 100 juried craftspeople from the province.
Award for Excellence in Fine Craft. $200 Gift Certificate for the SCC Boutique, and their work will be featured in SCC public and member newsletters.
Teresa Bzowy is the owner and operator of T&T Tree pottery supply ltd. Along with her Husband Tim, they have been providing pottery supplies and services to the Saskatchewan pottery community and schools for the past 10 years.
Award for Outstanding Work in the Medium of Clay. Gift certificate to TREE Pottery Supply.
