Breanne is an emerging visual artist currently based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, where she works as a Visual Arts Instructor in Drawing at Northwestern Polytechnic. Breanne holds a Diploma in Fine Arts from Dawson College (Montreal, 2012), a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design University (Halifax, 2015), and an MFA from the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, 2021).

At the beginning of my career I worked primarliy in watercolour. Having left it for many years I have taken it up again. It is a difficult medium with many challenges which I've been working to resolve this past summer. There is a strength of conviction in the past watercolour painters of this province that I admire. Often there is a sense of understatement and a search for the truth of what is percieved at the deepest level that draws me toward the challenge of this difficult medium.

I am an artist who has worked in the province since the mid 1980’s when I completed a Masters degree at the University of Saskatchewan. I have taught as a sessional for the department, and St.Peters College since that time.

Frances Robson earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1985. Her photographic work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Australia and elsewhere, and is in numerous public and private collections. She is currently making books of her past photographic work and creating 3D portraits. Since 1987, Frances has been a sessional photography instructor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Saskatchewan. She has also mentored artists through CARFAC Sask and taught art and photography to children.

Grant McConnell lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he works as an artist and educator. He studied Fine Arts at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick before moving to Saskatoon where he completed a B.F.A and a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Saskatchewan. He currently teaches at the St. Peter’s College, and at the University of Saskatchewan where he specializes in Canadian and Modern Art History and Visual Culture, and Studio Art. He has served as the National Chair and spokesperson of CARFAC, (Canadian Artist’s Representation), and on the boards of directors of the Saskatchewan Arts Board, ACCESS Copyright, and the Remai Modern in Saskatoon, Sk.

He is known primarily for his painting and drawing which is derived from an ongoing investigation of subject matter related to social and historical themes. A return to often familiar subject matter in order to reframe the significant questions, and to free up meaning, underlies the artist’s practice.
Haidong Qin is a Canadian photographer currently based in Saskatoon, SK. By redefining the pictorial elements of the images through formal strategies, his work examines the ambiguous nature of photography and questions the historical and contemporary perception of the medium. He holds a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA in Photography and Related Media from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Jacob Semko is an artist, author, and printmaker with a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati. He has been on faculty at the University of Cincinnati (USA), Queens University (Ontario), Haliburton School of the Arts (Ontario), SERC in Bangor (Northern Ireland), St. Peters College (Saskatchewan) and the University of Saskatchewan. He has also taught workshops, guest lectured, and been a visiting artist in China, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions displaying his prints and self-produced printmaking equipment. His work has been selected for juried exhibitions, traveling shows, and permanent collections across the globe. Jacob lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Jasmin Fookes (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist with a BFA and MFA from the University of Saskatchewan and a certificate in Arts and Cultural Management from MacEwan University. She has over a decade of project management experience in various sectors of non-profit organizations including community development and arts & culture. In addition to being a sessional Instructor in the Department of Art ad Art History, she is the Managing Editor of BlackFlash Magazine.

Jordan Schwab, originally from Prince George, BC, holds a BFA from Thompson Rivers University (2005), and received his MFA from the University of Saskatchewan (2009), and a B.Ed from the University of British Columbia (2023). Through a previous career in commercial and industrial construction, he developed an interest in built environments, entropy, and collective work to form the basis for his artistic practice. He has exhibited in various galleries and festivals such as at SKOL gallery (Montreal), SNAP Gallery (Edmonton), Martha Street Studio (Winnipeg), Kamloops Art Gallery, and AKA Artist-Run, PAVED Arts, and Remai Modern Pre-Launch in Saskatoon. He currently resides and works as a teacher in Quesnel, BC and is a sessional instructor at the University of Saskatchewan.

Joseph Anderson was born in Edmonton, raised in southern Alberta, and lives in Saskatoon. He received his MFA at the University of Saskatchewan in 2008, following a BFA at the University of Lethbridge (2000), and a Visual Communications diploma at Medicine Hat College (1998). He has exhibited his work in numerous group and solo shows, including exhibitions at the University of Lethbridge; the Mendel Art Gallery; and the Dunlop Art Gallery. His work is included in the collections of the University of Lethbridge, the University of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Arts Board, the Mendel Art Gallery Collection at Remai Modern, and Medicine Hat College. In 2017, Xiao Han installed her first public art, "Yee Clun," at Regina's Art Park. This public artwork speaks of the racial discrimination suffered by Chinese restaurant owners under Saskatchewan's "White Woman Labour Law" passed in 1912. In 2021, Han curated a community-based project, "MIXING RICE," which facilitated a in-situ exhibition in Asian restaurants. In 2022, Han created the socially engaged project, "Dough Nation," which collaborates with the community fridge and Chinese restaurants to share food as a gesture of compassion.
